This is the right thing to do.
He’s brave, strong, smart, the best friend she could ever hope for; he’s just a kid worthy, more than anyone else. She’ll probably never grow to love him like he loves her, and this is wrong, wrong the happy ending they deserve.

There’s Zuko, watching her over Mai’s shoulder. He grins, a strange crooked smile and he knows, and strangely this makes it bearable.
Katara nods. If he can do it, why wouldn’t she?
